Between this intersection and Calaveras Blvd. once stood a row of four adobe buildings.
On the south corner of Urridias was the location of the home of the British Legate
to California. Here is where members of John C. Frèmont's expedition spent the
night, complaining of the powerful stench caused by the rotting carcasses of cattle
raised for their hides on the ranch.
