Our presenters were a panel of old-time Milpitas residents who shared stories of growing up in town from the 1940s to the 1950s. They also shared photos and stories of their ancestors who had lived in Milpitas.

Bernadine Nunes Henriques and Adeline Henriques Bettencourt listen to Velma Valencia telling about her father-in-law Frank "Pop" Valencia, who worked at the Milpitas Grammar School on Main Street for many years.

Landmarks Director Mayvid Maclay looks at one of the many old photographs shown to us.

After the presentation, there is a chance to look at photos, chat with the presenters, and sample a light dessert with hot beverage.


Mr. McIntyre, a visitor from the east coast, enjoys a fresh blackberry tort as Vice President Mabel Mattos serves up another piece.
